The South Bank Centre has announced the stellar line-up of performers and companies for Unlimited, the biennial celebration of disabled artists and performers.
Featuring an array of new commissions, bespoke one-off events and existing works, Unlimited will showcase the outstanding creativity of disabled artists across dance, performance, comedy, music and visual arts from September 4 to 8.
This year’s festival includes premieres of Stopgap Dance Company’s ‘Lived Fiction’ (pictured above) and Touretteshero’s ‘Burnt Out in Biscuit Land, plus award-winning theatre company Flawbored’s ‘It’s a Mother F**king Pleasure and a new commission by Abnormally Funny People.
And keeping the energy up around the clock, Disco Neurotico brings its first neurodiverse club night to London, alongside Deaf Rave’s multidimensional dancefloor.
Serious, subversive, sweaty and joyful, the events in Unlimited 2024 flip narratives around disability on their heads and turn the spotlight on sensational storytelling from some of the most talented stand-ups, writers, artists and performers in the industry.
Working in partnership with the Unlimited commissioning fund, whose mission is to commission extraordinary work by disabled artists until the whole of the cultural sector follows suit, the Southbank Centre has presented Unlimited since 2012.
