There’s another chance this week to settle back and relax in the comfort of your own living room for a live music gig.
Live to Your Living Room delivers the very best of the folk, roots, and acoustic music scene live to your home and tomorrow (March 5) features Yorkshire folk singer Jack Rutter.
Jack has established himself as one of the standout voices of the folk, roots and acoustic music scene in recent years. His soaring vocal, powerhouse guitar and bouzouki playing and masterful arrangements of traditional songs and contemporary covers have enthralled audiences from the largest festival main stage to the most intimate folk clubs.
To watch the show live (8.00pm, doors at 7.45pm) or opt-in to receive a recording of the gig, available for 72 hours, visit https://livetoyourlivingroom.com/ for details.
There will also be a very special Sunday afternoon gig (3pm, March 9) featuring Jackie Oates and Jon Wilks.
Jackie Oates is celebrated for her stunning vocals, heartfelt arrangements, and expressive fiddle playing. As well as recording and music therapy work, Jackie regularly performs with her duo and band line-ups including John Spiers, Jon Wilks, Mike Cosgrave, John Parker, Megan Henwood and The Imagined Village.
With his background as a former editor of Time Out magazine and contributor to Dazed & Confused, The Guardian and other publications, Jon Wilks has a keen eye and ear for storytelling. During his live shows, he mixes entertaining folk song performances with fascinating titbits about the original singers and collectors he has unearthed during his extensive research on traditional folk music in the UK.
To watch the show live (3.00pm, doors at 2.45pm) or opt-in to receive a recording of the gig, available for 72 hours, visit https://livetoyourlivingroom.com/ for details.
Live to Your Living Room is great for anyone who can’t get to gigs because of their disability, insurmountable problems in getting there, just too ill or, as is the case with autistic people, completely out of their comfort zone in a social setting.
