Six talented individuals who have Down’s syndrome have been announced as winners of an international photography and short film competition.
The winners in the Down’s Syndrome Association’s ‘My Perspective’ photography competition were chosen from more than 145 global entries, including Lottie Lambert (pictured above) from the UK.
“I am inspired by bright colours and nature,” said Lottie, who won the Judges’ Choice Award in the child category for her entry ‘Proud and Tired’.
“I love taking photos on my phone to remember the cool things I’ve seen and done on my adventures.”
The annual ‘My Perspective’ competition aims to give people who have Down’s syndrome from across the world the opportunity to showcase the world through their eyes.
Rather than being the focus of the images, here photographers with the condition have flipped the lens and have a chance to use the images they have captured to convey stories that are most important to them.
