Dame Sarah Storey will return from injury to attempt to defend her women’s C5 individual pursuit world title at the UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships...
She is one of a 27-strong squad selected to represent Great Britain in Saint Quentin en Yvelines, France, from October 20-23.
And one of five riders who will be attempting to defend their titles in the first World Championships held since 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We have an incredibly talented squad of para-cyclists and going into the UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships with five reigning world champions, some in more than one discipline, really highlights the success we’ve enjoyed at this event over recent years,” said Great Britain Cycling Team Performance Director, Stephen Park CBE.
“With a number of debutants representing Great Britain for the first time in what will be the Paralympic velodrome at Paris 2024, I am expecting to see some impressive performances that will start to give us an idea of what successes the next Paralympics could bring for the Great Britain Cycling Team.”
